Pepper, you made our drab lives so lively and full of joy. But you decided your time was up. Now you take your final rest beside your sister. Our evenings will never be the same again without you jumping around, clowning and making us laugh. My days will never be the same again without you impersonating Mary’s little lamb. Even from your deepest cat nap you would run after me if I so much as went to check what was on the stove. Why was that?? Did you think I’d run away leaving you behind?? But now it is you who have run away, forever, leaving us behind.
People who have never seen you even once, or you them, knew so much about you and loved you. They wrote about you, read about you and laughed at your antics. Just yesterday Ivin sent you cuddles. I have not even finished putting up the videos and pictures I have taken of you. My sons haven’t seen you yet. How could you up and leave even before that??
Where were you the whole of yesterday?? We were sick with worry. Then you come back very late, looking so ill. Was it just to say goodbye?? Goodbye Pepper. Be happy wherever you are. I hope they give you lots of fresh fish and milk. Know that you were much loved little kitteh.

I am so sorry..
I had to give up my pet cat after 2.5 years as we were moving houses and it was not feasible to take her along… and I know how terrible that was… this must be so much worse 😦

Sad to hear that, it is so young to die early. What happened? It will probably be entertaining others wherever it goes, no doubt.

Sad.
How did this happen?
She had just outgrown being a kitten.
You stated she was missing for a day.
Were there any wounds ?
Or perhaps she ate something harmful.
Anyway, these experiences are part of life.
Take heart. I trust she died without much suffering.
I saw the video and also read your old blog post on the loss of your Dog
Though I have not been a pet owner I can empathise

I am not yet able to digest this news. Is she absconding? Cats come back even after 3-4 days, Shail. She is a beautiful kitten.
Take care, Shail!

Oh my god Shail! Cats (and dogs) do come back home if they are hurt and sick. This is so sad, yes Pepper was a darling of all of us. I am sure she came only for this much time to give (and receive) all this love. Hugs.

I literally cried while reading your post 😥
I have 2 like her back home….and for all the frustrating moments…I cannot imagine anything happening to either of them 😦
RIP Pepper!! 😐
But like GV said, what really happened to her?

Oh Shail.
She had such a happy and well loved little life. I am sorry she had to move on so soon but I am sure she had important places to go. Pens to chase and people to bring joy to.
Whatever happened to her, I am glad she did not suffer long nor did she suffer alone and was instead loved right up to her last moments in this life.
*hugs*

Oh ! so sorry Shail . One of our rabbits passed away two three weeks before .
The horror and shock I saw on my daughter’s face when she saw her pet rabbit lying dead in its cage is some thing that will never go away from my mind. I had seen it and was hurrying to hubby but she bypassed me on one of usual visits to check her pets before I could warn her.
Even now the feeling sends me shivers .Ruby was screaming like we have never seen before. They ran to check their book on pets . The day before they have been reading rabbits live for almost ten years . And ours was only one year old. Pearl wanted an answer . But this time I had none.
It takes a while to get over it .

Oh my God! I refuse to believe this. You cannot believe the utter shock and this deep empty feeling I have… no, perhaps you can. It’s just way worse for you all.
Am so sorry, so sorry she had to go. I wish she had more time with you. But then when it’s time, it’s time. Pets paradise. That is where she is now, I firmly believe. Though I do not want t o think she isnt here! God Bless her. And you.. and you, Shail.

So sorry to hear of this, Shail. Know what a pet is to a person/family. Take care of yourselves.

I know how you feel. I lost Caesar, my labrador 7 yrs ago and it was a while before I could think of him without tears. Btw, a kitten has suddenly decided to adopt my backyard despite the dogs who will not let her into the house. I remember reading a quote once which went ‘No man’s complete till he’s experienced love from another species’.. Cannot remember the exact quote.. but I loved the idea. We are blessed to have pepper and her ilk, that understand us a lot more than we understand them. God bless her!
