Big Sur is B.EA.U.T.I.F.U.L. Period. It has the sea, mountains and trees, three things that I love together at one place. What more can anyone ask for? The drive was simply awesome, with me going ‘wow’ wow’ repeatedly that it made the First Born smile. The last few days I have been going crazy trying to choose from pictures I clicked at Big Sur, to post here. I have finally decided to post just a few pictures from the drive itself. The rest can wait for later post.
All good things must come to an end, especially vacations. But then on the other end waits someone (link). So the journey back to India is filled with anticipation and excitement at a joyous re-union. I am coming home, Luci baby!

wow..lovely clicks…love it…welcome home π
Thank you, Sunil π
Looks awesome..Jealous :)!!
If you had posted the pictures I surely would have been π
Love it! Did you see McWay falls? Next time go camping there. Aah-mazing!

And now I am going wow wow wow…all the pictures look B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.
And glad you had a great vacation and now you’re coming back home. Am sure we’ll get to read some more stories about your reunion with Luci …looking forward. π
Oh yes, yes. But then I got sidetracked by a bad back. No worries, now I am back! π
Hi Welcome back home and yes the pics are indeed B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. waiting to read more from you on your reunion with your loving daughter.
Thanks swati. Oh, that was one wonderful reunion! π
You are so right, it is an incredible place and you captured it so beautifully!
Thank you so much. I really loved the place and did not want to leave!
Breathtakingly beautiful!! Loved these pictures Shail!
It is a wonderful place! π
Wow! Beautiful!! π
and yes, Welcome home!!
How did Luci react on seeing you? π
Luci jumped on me and started licking me. I am glad I didn’t melt away in all that drool π
Just Wow! π
Yup! π
A feast for the eyes no less! π
Truly so! π
Breathtaking, especially the one with the mist above the trees! Welcome back π
Luci is probably following you around anxiously, hoping you aren’t going to disappear again! π
That’s a fav picture of mine and that was one awestruck moment when I saw it. Imprinted in my mind. Oh yes, Luci has latched herself on to me, and I am thrilled π π
Hi Shail, were there spots when you felt it was “out of this world”, almost literally? Especially when the mist rolls in…
Exactly! There was mist when we reached (which cleared up later on) and it definitely gave the place an ethereal beauty which made it seem ‘out of this world’!
I think I am going to make a small hut in those hills and retire.
Amit, you are going to get a permanent guest there π
Amit, I’m sure to be your neighbor and the houses there on the coast are equally beautiful. π
I am following suit. π
B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L is the only word for these wow pictures. Thank you for taking us on that drive with you. π
Glad you liked them π
Wow!
That’s what I kept saying throughout π
Reblogged this on Shots and captures.
Shail, I had been there last year to see my husband’s manager (Yes, he lives there with his 5 dogs and 5 hens, can you imagine!), I absolutely loved the BigSur-Carmel stretch, infact I have been screaming to everyone to visit that place, it is just awesomely beautiful and serene, period. π
I agree with you wholeheartedly! Oh man, what a lucky guy to be living there! And 5 dogs too!
