Love defies logic and description
No one knows its true definition
And when one day it breaks your heart
To heal there is no handy prescription.

Utterly true is this logic
Love, sometimes it’s black magic
The love that smotes and smites
Leave marks of all it’s bites
And, as you say, nary a prescription
To heal all that burning sensation 🙂
Do forgive me Shail… have been all rheumy and rhymey of late. Must be some virus I got from reading too much poetry in class, and engaging and pushing kids to try their hands at least at rhyming or alliterative writing :D!
Lovely poem, as usual, Shail. You always hit the nail, right there, on the head!
Thank you Usha! 🙂 I am listening to the ‘plop of it falling into your thoughts’ 🙂
So very true…no prescription.
Sad, isn’t it?? But then again a lover’s words are the balm that unites and heals the broken pieces back to a whole.
As the seed breaks the ground to grow into a tree
so too love breaks the heart to set it free
there is no need for medication just let it be
over time you will be able to think about it and feel happy.
Hmm… love breaks the heart to set it free?/ Set what free?? The heart?? By breaking it?? That logic defies me. 🙂
It is not the heart that is set free but the love itself. Doesn’t make sense? It doesn’t even to me. 🙂 🙂
Hmm.. so love here is likened to the seed the breaks the ground to grow into a tree. Does that mean love (in seed form) breaks the heart and then grows into a tree (of love)?? Interesting. 🙂
LOL!!!
Good one Sahil..and loved the entries by Usha and Govind too 🙂
Thank you Noorulayn 🙂
nice and so true!! “Na dava laga na dua lage

Thank you Reema. Absolutely no dava or dua for the prem rog 🙂
Yeah, there is no prescription
Nor any medication
Its only true love in return
Which will mend a heart-broken !!!
Lovely Shail. 🙂
Hmm… you hit the nail on the head Uma. That’s the only thing that can mend and make it whole again. But true love…. it is so rare. 🙂
Oh! to have been touched by this madness
To have heard the clinking shatter of our fragile hearts
Me thinks, Life is worthy of living
To just have known what it is to Love.
I loved this. :)It renders itself to a need to say more.
You speak for me as usual Rashmi. ‘Life is worthy of living to just have known what it is to love’. 🙂
