Did you know there’s a shrub called rubber rabbitbrush or that it belongs to the sunflower family? I didn’t, till I came across it on my trip to the US. It apparently blooms from August to October, so I was just in time to see it in all its glory right in the middle of it, in September. Its pungent-smelling golden yellow flowers brightened up the surroundings.
Yellow is such a cheerful colour. Years ago I had a bright yellow sari, no two, and also a bright yellow tunic in my wardrobe. The tunic especially was a favourite of mine. But I now have no yellow tops or shirts. Hmm… I think I need to rectify that and get myself a yellow outfit soon, preferably in a shade as bright as the rabbitbrush above. Do I dare? That’s the million dollar question.
That’s all for today as I am off to try and catch up on some lost sleep. 🙂

Of course you will dare!
Haha. Yes!
Yes, dare! I have a yellow dress and I love it.
Yeah, I will. 🙂
From the photo it looks quite a lot like our British Gorse. This one has a much better name though! I wonder who thought to call it that? And why?!
They have the same colour, but the flowers look different. By the way the ‘rubber’ part of the name is because of the rubber content in the sap, I read.
