I happened across this interesting specimen while on my morning walk. Who, what, why and how of it are all a closed book to me. But I was totally entertained watching it crawl to the edge of the cement path and precariously balance itself there before deciding not to take the plunge and fall off to the ground three inches below.

I bet what stopped it at the last moment was the memory of the stern lecture given by mom on the foolishness of taking unnecessary risks in life. 😉
