If you have been around long enough, you already know about my love for trees. There is something magical about them, especially those trees whose canopy spreads out far and wide, providing a cool place to shelter from the hot rays of the sun. There was one such tree that caught my eye, with its branches overhanging the waters edge of the Rabindra Sarobar, in Kolkata. This tree is my first offering for Thursday Tree Love.

What’s Thursday Tree Love? It is a photo feature at Parul’s blog hosted on 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. I am joining her 51st edition of the same.

My father was born in Kolkata over a hundred years ago, so it provides some ‘connection’ to see this scene. I am a great fan of trees too.
Oh wow. That is some connection there 🙂 Birds and trees, we have them in common!
A beautiful initial effort indeed. I look forward to more. Love how the water looks, too.
Thank you. It is a beautiful place 🙂
What a serene place! Trees really are amazing, and I sometimes I wonder what (if) they think of us…
That’s truly worth pondering about!
It does look so peaceful and calm….Thanks for sharing this
