Once upon a time there were three ducks. One of them was keeping watch while the other two ate.

Along came two newcomers. “Hello!” they said.

“What do you want?” asked the displeased watcher duck.

“We are two hungry wayfarers. May we share your food?”

“No! You good-for-nothing scroungers! We don’t share food. Get going!”

“Oh it’s like that, eh? Boo!” they said and chased the watcher away.

“So what do you say? Shall we go for it? Gatecrash their party?” asked one.

“Of course!” replied the second.

The newcomers then rushed headlong scattering all three ducks off the food trough.

And they ate heartily ever after filling up their stomachs while the losers waited their turn.
