Of the many things discussed about mother-daughter relationships, I find there is one that is almosttaboo.  Women don’t like to hear or talk about it.

The Betrayal

The issue I am trying to broach here is that of a certain betrayal of daughters by their mothers, in the cultural or societal value system that women subscribe to, and the choices they make, for themselves and their daughters.  These value systems and choices deeplyundermine womenin general, and make them vulnerable and weak.
