A moment in time
Savoured and held as truly mine
When a heart was given
In exchange for another, without questions
When love was like never before
Not ever since.A moment borne away by laden clouds
Sped along by winds
Rained joyfully
Upon the insidiously winding river
Touched by the lone-witness, the tree
And swiftly carried by currents to the limitless seaA moment that in the relentless sun
Rose again as unsullied vapour
Condensed by cool moonbeams on a full moon night
Found on petals and leaf tips at dawn
Dew drops that shine like tear drops,
My most beautiful thing……….– Shail Mohan (April 2012)

It’s beautiful. The thoughtful words, the vivid word pictures, the deeply felt emotion and the journey, oh my oh my! That dewdrop crystallized with tingling freshness upon my soul, as I read it. I have this fascination for dewdrops as it is. You just brought it to life, and added dimensions I could only have visited in another lifetime 🙂 🙂 🙂
Love. I wonder if you’ve seen this one? (Sorry to post a link here, but I cannot help it :D)
😀
I have to hand it to you Shail, for the wonderful way you keep your verse so full of love and life and everything beautiful!
Thank you too, for directing me this way, though i do wonder if at all a post will appear 🙂

Cannot have enough of rains and dew drops and the mist….
…your writing conjures up images that gives you a close experience of all these! Rain down your words….and thou shalt be called rain maker! 😀
Cheers to ‘that’ moment in times and all the beautiful ones that followed! 🙂
shail said:
Tell me about it. I can never have enough of rain and dewdrops either. 🙂
Lol, rainmaker? I thought The Pink Panther was the rain-maker of the family! 😉 😛
Ahh… the moment lives on. 🙂 Thank you David.

I stopped at the picture for a while ! .. for quite long actually.. its is beautiful..and then I see how vividly the presence of the dew drops have been aptly described in your poem!.. What “imagination”.. thank you..
shail said:
Thank you Anil. I guess that’s a compliment coming from a photographer 😉 You don’t know the number of times I sit on my haunches and try to get that perfect shot with a frisky Labrador pup trying to mow me down. 🙂
Thank you for the appreciation of both the pic and the verse :).
Anil Singhal said:
Ok, so you take good pictures too. Seriously taking picture of dew drops isn’t easy at all.. especially if you don’t have the focus right and the light is not from the correct direction you cannot record its transparency. ..The one you posted here is not only sharp, its colorful and also see through:)
shail said:
All my headers are of raindrops/dewdrops 🙂 You will find an album in Google+ too. I chose one for this post from among them.
Anil Singhal said:
– Now, I ‘m specially noticing it . Again nice pictures.. normally I would only casually look at the headers unless I know it is by the author itself..
Given your love for the dew drops.. I thought I will mention about this. again I very vaguely remember about reading
some poem (probably in Hindi 😦 ) about a drop of rain . It traces the life history of it- going down to the drop finally
ending into the mouth of an oyster and becoming a pearl… I had a similar feeling reading your poem..
I wonder how much it takes to be able to imagine so much..kudos
shail said:
Oh I am sure that would have been a beautiful read about the raindrop that turns into a pearl. Thank you so much, Anil 🙂
