Youth and old age
Once I was
Colorful and bright
With petals soft as silk
The contours well-defined
Sought by butterflies and the bees
Supple, I swayed in the breeze.
Time has dulled my sunshine yellow
Fluffy white adorns my head
The wind rustles as it blows
Parts of me float away
My body is now stiff
Waiting for the final crunch
To happily merge
With the soil from whence I rose…

The circle of life. Prettily put. The picture is, as always, perfect too!
Thanks Usha. That was quick! π
Yeah! Making the most of my timeout. Back to business as usual from Monday. Luckily the hols are coming up 10 days from then π
Ohh does that mean the blogworld and I will be seeing less of you? π¦
I don’t know how much of myself I shall see :D! When I join school on Monday, I jump slap bang in the middle of the Unit Tests. The horrible feeling in the pit of me tummy has started, as it is, I suppose with the kids π¦ Corrections. Sigh.
But, hopefully, the addiction renewed here, shall proceed almost undisturbed, when at home :P! Lol!
Ahh, the blog world (and I) have hope! (Right now Luci is trying her level best to pull my sandals off my feet) π
Thats so lovely…and the words just are so perfectly put
Thank you R’s Mom π Pretty quick response I must say π

Hey! Nice to see you. And thanks.
Enjoying your holidays? π
Youth and old age….. it reminds me of my own life …:-)
My own too π
You seem to be writing about me, Shail! But hope to be active at least for another 10 years, hopefully! Very apt picture for very apt words! Beautiful, Shail!
Why only 10 Sandhya? May you live (and be active) for more! Bless you! π
And thank you π
join the soil and then come back up again sooon and bloom again π

Lovely picture… as usual with apt words π
Thanks IHM π
Shail you never fail to astound
so too this time with the picture so profound
equally with the verse with meanings abound
The circle of life goes round and round.
Beautiful.
And your verse never fails to astound either π Thank you Govind.
I used to feel very sad when my tomato flowers used to open and die so quickly. The same is true for our animal companions whose lifespan is so much shorter than ours. But that doesn’t really affect our love for them does it?
Not at all. Having them with us for that short period is such a blessing. But it is rather sad that their life span is shorter π¦
By the way I noticed that your RSS feed has just one subscriber. I’m sure all the settings are accurate?
This I have done anew. Actually, the earlier one had all been done by Samvit and I did not know how to access that account. I did not want to trouble him any further, so I just made a new account.
Lovely and so very apt! π
Thank you Pixie π
Parts of me float away…..Loved it.
Nice picture as always.
Thanks Sangeeta π
