expressly unexpressed
in bottomless chasms
suppressed.
Mind refusing to delve
on feelings detrimental
recoils from retrieval
pretending instead, to be a broken sieve.
Lips once powerfully articulate
played on words as on a lute
now unable to translate
remain powerlessly mute.
Without help of rising tides
Helplessness drowns the insides
And expressive expressions languish
to the spirit’s deep anguish.
