Last night I dreamt
we sprouted wings
flew around the Moon towards Neptune
in our little shack on the ‘ice giant’
I brewed pots of tea
we sipped watching the moons….
In the pale light, your eyes
kindled embers to a roaring flame
and I was no longer the ice maiden.

Hey this is really sweet!!!
Me: Thanks IHM 🙂
🙂 Sorry I am back! I loved how much this little poem says!!!
In the pale light, your eyes
kindled embers to a roaring flame
and I was no longer the ice maiden.
Poetry can always say it better than prose!
Me: You are always welcome IHM. Thank you!! 🙂
Wings carrying us onwards
We are rendered lighter
By our spirits soaring upward
Our passions burning brighter
Me: 🙂 Nice.
Neptune beckoning…wonderful imagination
Me: Thank you vt.

Fantastic… !!
Me: Thanks Hitch! 🙂
If imagination had wings, you would be the most beautiful bird on sky.
Me: O wow I could then fly for real! 🙂 Thank you Aditya.
Hi Shail,
You poem is very lovely. Brings wonderful images into the reader’s mind.
Am going to recommend your blog to a couple friends who love to read
poetry.
Kari (the_kept_grits)
Me: Kari, welcome to my page. Are you from FB?? Thanks for your lovely words. 🙂
Enamoured by the power of those eyes,
which could melt even the maiden of ice.
But when it becomes the hour of sunrise
Ah! It is only a dream she sighs.
Publish! 🙂
Me: You took the words out of my mouth it seems, or rather my thoughts.
Err… Govind, I really don’t mind! Will you, I mean publish??! 😛
This poem will grow on you and you will love it even more with time. Poems are like children, and as they grow, so does our love for them. And this is a beautiful one!
Me: Thanks Rhett. I am rather overwhelmed by the response to this one from everyone. 🙂 Thanks again.
Shail, you need to publish, dear!
Me: Hmmm let me ask what I asked Govind. Err… would you, publish I mean!? 😉
