Today while being driven to the city by the friendly Uber guy, a thought occurred to me. Just as I was warming up to it as something I’d like to write about, another intruded.

“Ah,” I said to myself happily, “What a bonanza! I’ll write about that one too, but separately.”

Immediately, I took out my phone and noted down the latest thought, saved the draft, intending to expand on it later. Next I opened a fresh page to save the original one and stopped short.

What the heck! It was nowhere. It was as if, in the few seconds it took me to jot down one thought, the other had disappeared from the face of the Earth—or rather, from my brain.

Since I had nothing better to do, I searched every hidden nook and cranny in the many folds of my grey matter. No luck. I simply could not locate it.

Do you see what I see here?

Either I need to slow down… or my thoughts do.

That of course raises the question as to who ‘I’ am in relation to my thoughts. But I won’t go there now as it will only complicate things further.

So that’s it for Microblog Monday this week.
