I read somewhere that time seems to move faster for older people—and older I definitely am—than for those young. Even as you have welcomed one Monday and are relaxing thinking it’s midweek, the newer Monday rings the door bell.

Don’t ask me why I have already forgotten the rest of the article. You see, these days, I only keep the headlines, the details are read but not stored long enough. I have on good authority that that’s because your brain space is already crammed with years and years of stuff that there’s no more storage room for new stuff being pushed in.

The other day I went for a musical show where the songs sung by the very proficient singers were all from a different era, when live dramas performed on stage was far more popular than movies. To my utter astonishment I knew each and every song, the lyrics too in some cases,—and I hadn’t heard them in more than half a century.

See what I mean? Memory disk too full. The next time someone asks me something and I don’t remember the answer, I’ll sing them a song from the 60s. 😉
