Something on your “to-do list” that never gets done.

It was not my intention to answer today’s prompt. But when I saw what it was, I went ‘Aaah!’ to myself and went straight for it. It’s an interesting topic as topics go, and though you would think it does not apply to me (In fact, I’d think so myself!) it does, and how!

Hmm… Something on my to-do list that never gets done. Yeah, there is one such thing.

If after reading so far, you thinking to yourself, ‘Shail and something that never gets done? No way!’ you’d be right of course. If I have a to-do list, generally speaking you can rest assured it’d be done.

But

At times delays do happen. A little procrastination here and there (after all I am human!), a little of doing something else rather than sticking to what’s on the list, a little bit of rushing off to do impromptu things while the list languishes, a little too much of farming at Facebook Farmville… All these things happen, definitely. They are all minor interferences amenable to course correction, and none of them are serious enough to jeopardise the completion of whatever I have set myself to do.

And yet there is this one thing that never seems to happen.

Sigh.

Double sigh.

Triple sigh.

Okay no more sighing. I’ll reveal all. It’s nothing other than the compiling of my short stories.

In these times of self publication, and especially for someone who has already published her poetry on her own, it’s the easiest thing to do. Or should be. But still, here I am, with that one thing in my to-do list that never gets done. 😉
