I am back after a hiatus. I suppose that’s no longer a new thing. You see me here and then I am gone, you see me again and then I am gone again. Then again. This has been happening far too frequently than I care to admit. And yet, such is life.
Nattering in November had to be put on hold as what the month had in store for me overwhelmed me. In a good way, may I add. First my sister and family came on a visit and then it was time for the sons and the daughter -in-law to come over.
As usual I thought, mistakenly as hind sight revealed, that I could manage it all. Be with them, as also on my blog. Ha! How we overestimate our capabilities, never admitting we are getting on in years and cannot go about sitting up late, writing, if we had to get up as fresh as a daisy the next morning!
So I did what any sane person would do. I gave my all to the family and the precious little time we had together, especially considering that the sons and daughter in law and us were all getting together for the first time in five years! Yup. In the last five years it was one coming, then another, never both together. Hence it was special few days.
When they all had left left, it was time for the next visitors to announce themselves. The unwelcome kind, the viruses. I mean that literally of course. It took longer than I anticipated to throw them out, but throw them out, I did.
And so, here I am. Hale and hearty once again after an exciting time with the children and then a tiring time fighting the villain viruses. So it is back to the business of boring my loyal readers 😉

I am with you all the way! My eldest son’s visit overlapped with his brother’s by a couple of days – and his will overlap with his sister’s visit by a couple of days … blogging (and, dare I say, good housekeeping) has gone out of the window!
Good housekeeping too! You said it, Anne 🙂 But the company makes up for everything 🙂
Quite right! You give your time to the people right in front of you. Us loyal followers will wait patiently for when they go 🙂 Although, as Christmas is almost upon us here, I may well escape to the internet as a means of getting away from the rellies! You’ll know it is stressful in my household if you see a LOAD of posts over the next two weeks…
Haha. I’ll have to check if they have been loads of posts! I have not been reading too many blogs 😦
This is completely understandable. Definitely use the time to spend time with your family, especially if you don’t get together often. Like Ken said, we are patient and can wait :). Know the feeling as well, as my husband and I also spent this year seeing my parents and family whom we have not seen in so long, having to put other things on hold.
Hope you had a good time with family. I am glad to hear I have patient readers willing to wait! 😀
You are totally forgiven for being missing in action. I, like you, come and go on the blogosphere depending on what’s going on in my life.
I sympathise with the virus thing. I have not been well myself and it drains the energy so needed during the holiday season. I hope you are completely well again.
I am so pleased you had quality time with your family.
Yes it was fun with the family together after so long. I am back on my feet now. Hope you are too. Viruses can be so debilitating!
I started blogging again since my workload had decreased and I thought I could find time for at least one post a week 😛 As soon as I published two, my role chnaged and now my work hours have gone from 10 to 14 😛
Wonder when I can come back with an “I am back” post.
Glad to know you’re all goood!
Uh ho! You seem to have jinxed it. 😀 Hopefully your workload will decrease again!
