As someone said, and with whom I wholeheartedly agree, time spent with trees is time never wasted. How can it be when it is as beautiful as this one?

I was fortunate enough to spend time, not nearly enough though, with this tree, and some birds too, who roamed the grounds of a resort in Poovar. If you look closely you can see a speck beneath the spreading branches of the tree in the second picture. It’s an Indian Pond Heron. A shy bird by any standards. This was as close as I could get with my mobile phone.

Our garden is filled with trees we planted 36 years ago. They provide welcome shade, attract the birds, and collectively give off a delicate aroma of bark and leaves. I love trees.
I simply LOVE your garden and the trees thereof. I just finished reading your post on the trees in your garden 🙂
Time well spent, indeed.
Glad you think so too 🙂
Awesome trees – thanks for alerting us to the Indian Pond Heron. I googled him and he is indeed a handsome bird.
The bird looks beautiful in flight too 🙂
Gorgeous tree.
Indeed it is one 🙂
Ah absolutely, time spent with trees is time well spent indeed. I am looking forward to spring here when it might just be warm enough to enjoy the myriad of trees in my ‘neck o’the woods’. But it won’t be a patch on the lush beauty that India and environ enjoy all year round! Sigh…I miss it so much.
That word lush does describe the greenery here, doesn’t it? That is something I love!
Such a peaceful place!
Isn’t it too! 🙂
Lovely
Thank you! 🙂
