I have written about the Rain Trees of Trivandrum. Bangalore City also has its fair share of fine rain trees. From the airport right into the city, these trees can be found everywhere. Look at the one above, in the heart of the city. What a magnificent specimen! Its canopy is spread in a wide circle providing the much needed cool shade to everything underneath it. The tree is on one side of the road, but its branches can be found caressing the buildings on the opposite.

I took the above picture using my mobile phone, sitting in the cab I was traveling in, while it stopped briefly for the traffic light to turn green.
