Aren’t they such colorful birds? It was the driver Anil who spotted them first, and said to me, “Chechide aalkkar dende avide!“(Chechi, Your people, over there). As soon as he stopped the car I was out in a jiffy. The setting seemed like one out of a dream, with the Purple Swamphens such a contrast against the beautiful green of the grass.
