‘And, when you want something, the entire universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.’ ~ Paulo Coelho.
I had concluded long back that this is nothing but balderdash. Bilge of the first order. Or is it? In the light of new evidence, I am forced to reconsider my stance. May be, just may be the Universe heard Paulo Coelho and thought fit to humor him (and those who believe him).
Even as the car rolled to a stop in front of the house where my parents stay, my eyes were searching the electric cables, without much hope. After all it was noon time, when the little thingummybobs with wings, otherwise known as birds, are usually taking their siesta or whatever it is they do when the sun is high in the sky. I gave a yelp of delight. May be it was the cloudy skies that was the reason, but there they were, sitting in a row, Bee-eaters and Munias. I could make them out even from afar.
Patience is my virtue. I waited to meet and greet people, have lunch, and instead of resting slung my Nikon around my neck and hurried off in search of my darling winglings. It wasn’t just the Bee Eaters and Munias (two varieties each), within the next twenty minutes, I had clicked 7 different varieties of birds. By evening, the count went up even higher.
Wow. There must be something about the Universe conspiring to help me, after all. You see, the last time I was here, I had taken a lot of pictures. But my hard disk decided to die without warning and I lost most of them. So this gesture by the Universe, if indeed it is, is much appreciated!
That’s a Green Bee-eater in the picture above and my camera is capturing one for the first time. So yeah, Thank You, Universe!
I love green bee-eaters! they are so beautiful! nice photo 😀 I’ve been feeling a lot that the universe conspires to make things happen, might be mistaken though 🙂

I don’t mean to pry, so I’m sorry if I gave you that impression. Being an avid birdwatcher myself, I’m just curious. Feel free to ignore my questions if you please. 🙂 No problem at all!
