Exactly the way I felt when I saw it. And what does that tag line mean, ‘anti-dowry store’??!! This shop is in MG Road, Bangalore.

Do you buy things for Dowry or for Anti-Dowry ????? 🙄 Total confusion….
Does that word dowry mean anything else in any other lang ????

Hmmm… Is it that someone got the brainwave that it is alright to buy things for dowry from an anti-dowry shop??!! And I would very much like to know if ‘dowry’ means anything else. But then why the ‘anti-dowry’ part of it??!!

May be they mean instead of giving dowry you can give all these ???? Now I am confused !!!

I am totally clueless as to what it means 🙂 and as confused as you are!
I scratched my head for a full 5 minutes pondering over this one.
The name of the shop is obviously “Himalayan Dowry”.
No prizes for deducing this.
May be the shop owner is offering to sell these items as an alternative to dowry since he is against dowry?
MG Road is far from where I live but I will remember to look for this store the next time I pass that place.
May be I will ask the shop owner, resolve the mystery and enlightern all of you? Let’s see.
While on the subject, many years ago I noticed a prominent shop dislaying ” Inferior Decorators” . I wish camera phones were available then to enable me to capature that moment.
