I have no idea how that happened.
Lovely! The contrast between the two colours is striking!
Which plant is this- I don’t think I’ve seen it before….
@manju,
I haven’t seen it before too. The color caught my eye and I clicked it. π
I’ve never see this flower – looks like a land variety of sea anemones
@Phoenixritu,
Yeah it does have that look. Its the flower of some parasitic plant.
WOW !!! Brilliant colors….just looking into it for a long time, I think that its lots of pink okras tied down together…. π π
@UmaS,
Haha! I took a look at it after reading your comment and yes it does look like okras tied together!! Uma amazing observational skills! π
unique!!
@Reema,
Yeah π
Lovely! Loved the contrast between the pink and the green. π
Dunno what plant it is, though. Never seen it before. Any idea what it is called?
@Priya Iyer,
No idea Priya. I noticed it due to the color. There was only one of it and I clicked it. Its actual size is only about half of this.
A very unique flower! π
Where’s this clicked??
@Shilpa Garg,
In Ernakulam, Kerala, outside my parents’ place. Some trees and plants growing wild… among them I noticed this beautiful color.
Looks strange … but lovely colours !
@Aditi,
Hey! Nice to see you after a long time π It is actually half the size that you see in the picture. The color is eye catching.
Wow! Lovely colours! A saree with that colour scheme would be lovely, don’t you think? I’ve never seen this before, either!
@Dreamer,
I do think there are silk sarees in these shades π Beautiful combination.
Wow! That is gorgeous! Never seen it before!
@Smitha,
Me neither. It IS a beauty π
Beautiful colour combination…have never seen this before! Great!
@Sandhya,
Yeah, the color attracted me and immediately out came the camera π Have not seen it before either.
Absolutely beautiful. What a lovely colour combination. Makes me want to buy a dress of the same π
@Pallavi,
I think saris do come in this combination, also pattu pavadais π
Wow, beautiful! No idea what flower it is, though, never seen it before.
@Deeps,
I have no idea too. Have been asking around here. Its a real eye-catcher.
What a unique flower!!
The green stem-like part appears at the tip of the colourful petals(?). Very different!
Seriously, I need to hunt for this plant’s name!!
@momofrs,
Tell me when you find its name Noorulayn π
Beautiful colors (what an original comment lol)
@Vivek,
Very original π
Nice color combo. At first I thought unique vendakka. π
@Solilo,
Lol, the vendakka look is unmistakable π
Where it starts or where it ends there’s no clue

I have heard of mythological characters born with kavacha kundala or with gems around their neck but didn’t know there was one that was born with a camera around her neck. π
@Govind,
Lol, …except that the camera is in my handbag π
*pumping fist in the air*
I found it. I FOUND IT!!!!
Took me ages (and a zillion search strings π )
But here it is :-

Whew….that was close. I almost thought I’d flunk it π
@momofrs,
Wow wow wow! Noorulayn you did it!!!!!!!!!!!! *applause* Awesome work! Thank you π
And now through your effort, I have found that its Malayalam name is Ithikanni π
@Shail,
Thanks π
But I don’t think I’ll be looking for its Hindi name soon π
The English one took enough time π
@momofrs,
