V is for vendetta, vanity and victory
vases filled with flowers, vines that climb trees
It’s for vision that goes far, and values much valued,
and for veils, as also references that are veiled

V is for vultures that fly vigorously in the sky
and villagers who in high volumes vocalise
Vendors in markets, their voices valiantly raised,
visibly vying for buyers for vegetables so fresh

V is for vacationers in vineyards with violins, who vow
the flowers look vibrant in the vast vacant plots
The petals are like velvet, not all though are violet
the vivid hues and variety are staggering, they declare

V is for vamps who are viewed with distaste,
and vacuum cleaners that vibrate
When vehicles are driven rashly,
venture outside carefully.

V is for voting and vaccinating, both mandatory
and ventilation in houses, an absolute necessity
Volcanoes that often erupt, veins which too can burst
also the van, vest, varnish, volunteers and the rest….

Okay. I have changed tracks and gone for a silly poem today. Can you tell me how many words beginning with v I have used above? Homework for today! 😉
