“Have you finished?”
“Umm.. no!”
“It’s 5 p.m.”
“I have lots more to go before I finish. Tomorrow. I’ll finish by then.”
“But…. You said you’ll give it to me today!”
“I said just now that I haven’t finished it. Tomorr..”
“I know why you haven’t finished. You were playing computer games with your friends all day!”
“Tomorrow, I said. Now get lost! Don’t disturb me.”
“Noooo! You said 27th, and that’s today! I want it NOW! Or..”
“Or what?”
“Or I am gonna tell Mom.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Yes. Give it to me!”
“I TOLD YOU I AM NOT DONE! Now get out of my room and let me finish or else I won’t give it to you tomorrow either ….or ever!”
“You won’t? Mommyyyyyyy! MOMMYYYYYYYYY! He won’t give me the book!”
“Shhhh…. don’t yell!”
“MOMMMMYYYYYYYYY!”
“Okay, okay. Take it! I was going to play that new game anyway!”

The book that was lent was unread ditched
‘Twas, for computer games, eagerly switched
But only after a threat
And a yell was out let
Which was pretty highly, piercingly pitched!
I see my sons’ dialogues and couple of decades back!
All I can see is a love for books and that makes me happy.
Ha ha.. By half past story had guessed it would be a book! 🙂 Clever.. 🙂
Kids. You gotta love them regardless due to these quirks 🙂
