What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week Lillie Mcferrin posts a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word. This week’s word: THIEF.
The boy hadn’t eaten anything solid in the last two days and the aromas from the roadside eatery were making him feel faint.
He eased himself closer to the counter and quickly grabbed a fat bonda off the plate that was on top.
The next moment his was arm in a twisting grip that sent the bonda flying off his hand and someone spat out, “Thief!”
“Leave him alone!” another voice interrupted firmly, disentangling the boy’s hand from the iron grip of the first man.
“Here boy, take this!” the second man said kindly extending his own plate, but the boy was already on his knees, picking the fallen bonda off the dirt and stuffing it into his mouth dirt and all.
