What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week Lillie Mcferrin posts a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word. This week’s word: HUNT.
Ritesh and I ran into each other at the airport almost a decade after leaving school.
I promptly invited him home for lunch, and to meet my family all of whom he knew, and he readily agreed.
It was not mere whim on my part, this invitation, it was all over the place that this talented young director was on the lookout for a new face for his next film.
While leaving after what I hoped was a pleasant time, he paused at the door, turned around and ever so casually announced, “My hunt is over, at last!”
I was getting ready to do a perfect Sushmita Sen at the Miss Universe pageant, you know, that look of total surprise and unadulterated joy when Ritesh took my grandmother’s hand in his and implored, “Please say, yes!”
