What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week Lillie McFerrin posts a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate can write a five sentence story based on the prompt word. The word does not have to appear in the five sentences, and is just for direction. This week: FALLING
Mom told me not to but I, naturally so, did not listen to her.
Which self respecting teenager does, huh?!
Don’t look at me like that, it’s because our brains are wired differently or something weird like that.
So there I was, on a dangerously high vantage point, enjoying the cool breeze and the stupendous view, quite pleased and rather proud of myself, when a strong gust of wind blew.
It dislodged the dried leaf from where it was stuck between a fork in the branch at the top of the tree, and I became for all the world to see, a bug-on-a-falling-leaf, a foolhardy one at that.
