The love and affection between man and beast was amply evident while watching the caregiver give the baby pachyderm (he is just six year old) a bath at the Elephant Rehabilitation Center (of which I have written here).
The Elephant kept nudging the man playfully and caressing his face affectionately throughout bath time.
In fact, a little while into the bath, the man was heard telling the elephant to cut it out, not that it stopped the little fellow any!
At one point it looked like the Elephant was toying with the idea of pulling off the cloth tied around the man’s waist.
But thankfully better sense prevailed and he went back to tickling the man under his chin 🙂

Such beautiful pics Shail showing the love and human attachment plus affection. It couldn’t come at a better time when Sundar was finally freed today. Wish there are more humans like the one in the pic where we could shower love and affection:)

But sadly we humans need to do much much more for our friends in the wild and otherwise. .

Much more is needed to be done, yes.

You will really love the place, Sandhya. My cousin’s wife was like you. She didn’t want to move away from the really young elephant calves! 🙂
