Grains of sand
| From Thru my eyes |
I count the grains of sand on the beach
They stretch as far as my eyes reach
When I am done I will tell you
Just how much I love you…

I shall wait till eternity
for you to finish
your counting
and hear those
three magical words.
Shail, nothing personal, just wanted to coin a reply
)
Me: That was a beautiful response Balvinder.
I bet that’s what you’d tell Jeet (name correct??) if she were to recite these lines to you!

Profound and so beautifully put. Wonderful verse
Me: Thanks Ritu.

Counting the grains in the beach will take all eternity
Am I supposed to let you do that and wait patiently
Is this the sinister part of you that is always tricky
telling me that you never thought of loving me?
I wish I could. I mean, publish !!!
Me: Lol, Govind, you have a new angle to it there!
Hmm… about publishing
‘Publish’ says the public
And I sort of panic
Isn’t it really tragic
Publishing is no picnic
My writing is sporadic
though it seems prolific
So I remain a skeptic
And about publishing a little phobic

“Love is like a handful of sand, for it will fall down if held too tightly and will fly away if held too lightly” …
Me: Thats a good one Nimmy
But I believe whether you hold it tightly or lightly or just rightly (omg that rhymed!!) if it has to go it will. Just a little piece of my own philosophy.

“Love-don’t hold it too light or too tight..Just let it free..If it fly away,it was never yours..”
Me: I used the phrase ‘just right’ to mean ‘let it free’
