A beautiful sequel :). I hope she is none the worse for her hostel stay. When we had our dog, Appukuttan, I remember leaving him alone for a day (a day, mind you) and he sulked for a week after that!

She seems to be alright Roopa and back to her old self! Appukuttan?? Lovely name for a dog!! :D

I was smiling all through the post because it so reminded me of the first dog we owned!!!
It was a crazy, neurotic, blue-blooded dob called Scot. When we saw him as a a pup, we never imagined that this gangling gawky goat-like canine could actually grow into one of the most ferocious dogs in Trivandrum!!! But, beleive it or not, the cute puppy stage lasted all of 8-9 months and then he became this diabolic,blood-thirsty monster with a wicked sense of humour.Scot would even come chompping on our body parts for reasons as stupid as that he woke up on the wrong side of the bed or that he was not given a whole bday cake - not a piece mind you, but the whole damn cake!!!
But despite the blood and gore, we loved him still. And although it has been years since he has passed on, the scars I bear to this day sometimes throb when I think of him...

Your beloved Spitz
Deserves the Ritz
The love she gives
As long as she lives
Can overcome any worrisome blitz!

Right Gulshan. The love they give is priceless.

The toughest part is ever having to leave them like this in emergencies! I hope she is eating now? I wonder why did God give them sensitive souls.

We are still struggling to travel with them by road (they remain restless), we have got into arguments with Air Port staff when my husband would (successfully because that one was a Dachshund) managed to keep the dog in our lap ... but the troubles never end!

IHM, yeah, the toughest part is having to leave them behind. Goofy is pretty restless travelling even short distances!!

Get back! NOW!!

The poor thing :(

Loved this post most of all, for the uninhibited display of affection, both of the owners and the ownee.. :)

I guess I am lucky in a sense, because I leave my dogs at my parents' if I have to go somewhere, or they leave theirs at mine, when they are visiting their sons.. :) So the doggie service is available, and its warm and loving too!

Usha, am back with her now!! :D Hey you are lucky that you can leave your dogs at your parents' place and also take care of their dogs!! Thanks and glad you liked the post!

Do read "Attila" by R K Narayan, if you havent already. It's there at this link. [I think :)]. from "Malgudi Days"... a hilarious narrative that you would enjoy!

Hey, I have read it before, Usha, but read it once again. It is one story I simply adore!!

Little fur balls are so cute and make excellent gifts! What breed was your fur ball Ganga??
