Reflected glory
Limbs shorn of leaves
Basking in reflected glory
Of colorful blooms.

Waiting for Tito
Since long I have been waiting
Tito* said he’d be coming.
Momma is too busy working
Since the maid has been absconding.
When work is done she goes a-blogging
So there is none for playing
With my tennis ball I am left standing
At the wall, my eyes searching
For my friend who said he’d come visiting
Perhaps he will have time for throwing
This ball that in my mouth I am holding
Then maybe he’d take me walking
Or we could even do some running
I shall gladly settle for jogging
Followed by a bout of wrestling
We’ll finish off with eating
The hearty meal Momma’s cooking.
So Tito, when are you coming?
Waiting is oh-so boring.

Tito* is the much acclaimed fan of Luci. You can see more of Luci either here or here.
Youth and old age
Once I was
Colorful and bright
With petals soft as silk
The contours well-defined
Sought by butterflies and the bees
Supple, I swayed in the breeze.
Time has dulled my sunshine yellow
Fluffy white adorns my head
The wind rustles as it blows
Parts of me float away
My body is now stiff
Waiting for the final crunch
To happily merge
With the soil from whence I rose…

The Big Bird….
…dropped the huge head of some big fish in our backyard.
Luci found it but I kicked it away yelling at her.
(Yeah I can yell. Experience my dears, with bringing up two Martians)
The first-born picked the smelly piece, threw it high on the sun-shade of the nearest window.
Big Bird meanwhile made several rounds in the sky, searching for its lost prize.
It failed to locate the catch lying on top of the sunshade.
Some keen eye-sight you have Big Bird!
Suddenly Big Bird swooped down to perch on a metal bar.
It first looked left….
then straight ahead…
and finally turned to the right…
In a (to us) surprise move, Big Bird landed on the ground.
picked up a stone
and flew away…..!
Huh?
Building a nest perhaps??
