Precious pearls…

Jealously guarded behind masks I wear

Feelings I don’t want to share

Transformed when alone into precious pearls

Scattered and lost I know not where.

  1. the word jealousy is haunting me… !!!!

lovely words… !! not sure if i totally understand though..

Me: Hmm… how about if I mentionthe words ‘tears’ instead of pearls? :) Does something click?

  2. Feeling
    Is fleeting
    Drop masks
    Into casks
    Show off your poetic leaning!

Me: It’s pretty late and I won’t attempt anymore pl-s aka poor limericks akin to pj-s :P when such beautiful ones come from you Gulshan! :)

  3. Well we all have a face
    that we hide away forever
though we take them out and
show ourselves when everyone has gone
some are satin some are steel
some are silk and some are leather
they are the faces of the stranger
but we love to try them on.

Billy Joel’s Stranger check this out.

Me: Thank you Govind. I just listened to the song :)

  4. I guard mine ever so jealously too ..
at times sunny for loved ones while dying inside..

I think we all have to bear our own burden..so it is here too..
one thing I have learnt…no matter hos close a loved one..mother, husband, father, brother, sister or any other…

some thoughts are best left alone..to be caressed and pondered over when alone..but never to be shared..
to share is to lose it..and the part that hurts..they may never understand it either..

no man (or woman) is an island said Donne..I beg to disagree

Me: So young and yet there you are ….bingo! May I know your sun sign please Indy?? And I will join you in disagreeing with Donne.
