I lied…

I lied

I cried

I did hide

Behind smiles dyed

You always decide

I abide

The dreams inside

I have freeze-dried

How do I confide

What is inside

When my feelings undyed

Are denied

As passions collide

And we divide

Do not deride

I am no bride

Something died

Though I tried

With my pride

I now reside.

  1. My smiles and exterior only belies
    an existence of eternal disguise
I do not have the comfort of allies
except my tears and superficial sighs
I cannot continue with a life I despise
the time has come to say our goodbyes.

Shail, beautiful verse. You outdo yourself everytime.

    Me: Thank you Govind. :)

  2. With pride you reside
We are all by your side.

    Me:
    The rising tide
    Will be an easy ride
With you all by my side
In spite of the pride. :)
    Thanks Vivek

  3. doesnt mince words this one..
    taut..
    Why?
a mood, a whim? an urge to write?
something yearns to speak up perhaps?or am I reading too much?
    :D
yeah thats it!I am reading too much into it :D

*Indyeah decides to get rid of all her sappy melodramatic romances*

Me: Lol, I like your soliloquy Indy. :D Don’t get rid of all your as you say, ‘sappy melodramatic romances’. Keep them alive always! Thanks and Cheers!

  4. Hey, isn’t it really interesting that the prose and the poetry seem to spring from two totally different souls?!

Me: Hmm…. ;) I take that as a compliment and am loving it, thanks!

  5. I am awed at your words and their power and appeal
of pain expressed in a neatly written verse
of feelings denied, and passions died…
Do accept some compliments from IHM’s side ;)

    Me:
Ahh now it is your turn to spout words
Which are In the form of verse
Thank you very much for the compliments
And also for keeping me on my toes, Cheers! :)
