of dazzling smiles
nonchalant looks
blank stares
Hiding hurts
Between notes
of soulful music
pages of books
written words
Hiding hurts
Within busy schedules
of daily chores
the cleaning
and cooking
Hiding hurts
In the great outdoors
the mountains and valleys
trees, rivers,
sand and the sea.

It is that feeling of being so very very out there, and yet inside, in that place where only pain, somehow, manages to visit, that comes through here! Very gently told, but sharp, all the same!
I like the way the metaphor builds up, through so many seemingly disparate bits of imagery! Lovely poem!
